Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

Every 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese calendar, the full moon is celebrated across the Chinese world.   It is a time to come together, enjoy the brilliant full moon, be thankful for friends and family and partake in beautiful moon cakes.
For me the most endearing tradition of the mid-autumn festival is the lighting of lanterns.  Miss May and I love a lantern, and it turns out all the kiddies in our condo were keen to come out and show off their own!
I have not posted anything new for a while but I thought our friends overseas, some who left 'The Island' only recently, might enjoy hearing about our fabulous Lantern parade!!  Enjoy the pics!
